Greene Street

Greene Street provides a seamless extension of the University of South Carolina through a tree lined roadway linking the university to the Riverfront in Columbia, South Carolina. Unit paving was awarded the 1 million dollar contract which incorporated 25,000 square feet of roadway pavers with granite cobble medians, as well as 70,000 square feet of pedestrian pavers on four intersection corners. The Greene Street project incorporated lower maintenance into project plans by including “road markings” in pavers to reduce the yearly painting of lines.
